Their approach to business was simple and clear: innovative and straight dealing, qualities we aspire to emulate.
HAROLD DURSTON CBE
Harold took over his father’s shoe business, George Durston & Son Limited as well as subsequently creating both the shoe designer, City Leather (Leicester) Limited and shop fitting business, City Design.
THEO ROBERTS
In the 1930s, alongside his father, Alexander, and brother, Herbert, Theo set up a haulage business, T&HR Roberts, which he expanded later into the coach operator and leisure business, Vale of Llangollen Tours. He also developed successful hotel and travel agency businesses.
